Is Canoeing for me?

Once again, the Óbidos Lagoon is a fantastic spot for canoeing. It is probably the safest and most suitable location in the country, with calm, shallow waters free from waves, currents, and maritime traffic, plus, it has stunning corners waiting to be explored.

When planning your canoeing visit to the EVL, it’s best to choose days with light winds and morning hours (10 AM) to maximize your chances of a perfect experience.

This sport is suitable for anyone aged 10 and above who can swim and feels comfortable in the water. For those who prefer shallow waters, there is a shallow plateau right in front of the school where you can practice comfortably.

Younger children may participate as long as they are accompanied by their parents, who remain fully responsible for them.
